Our recent 3-night stay at Canaves Epitome was outstanding! I travel frequently and stay at many nice resorts, but this resort is an elevated experience. The property and rooms are both stunning & customer service is 5-star! Highlights: - Free shuttle service to downtown Oia - 24/7. - Amazing Sunsets! - the property faces sunset over the ocean - Rooms are incredible - Daily breakfast is included by the pool and the food is amazing.

Wow, what a perfect 5 star service. Everything was just perfect from the moment we entered the hotel, everybody were so pleasent and nice, they gave us a drink and took us to our perfect room with heated pool and also showed us the main stuff in the island. The restaurants food and especially the service were amasing! A big reccomendation to other future guests!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would—Canaves Epitome truly exceeded all expectations. We stayed here on our honeymoon, and it was easily one of the nicest places we’ve ever experienced. From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless. The staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. A special shoutout to Nikos, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. The hotel was also incredibly accommodating with our kosher dietary needs, which made a big difference to our stay. The attention to detail here is remarkable. One small example: we had a few pairs of glasses lying around the room, and when we returned, the team had left us branded glasses cleaners—such a thoughtful touch that really says a lot about the level of care they put into everything. Our suite was immaculate, quiet, and spacious, with a layout that felt luxurious and private. Unlike many places in Santorini that can feel cramped, Canaves Epitome offers space and tranquility without losing that signature Santorini charm and architecture. And the sunset view from our suite was incredible, no need to go out anywhere for a sunset. The staff truly deserve a lot of credit for making this such a special experience. We would come back in a heartbeat.

This hotel understands what it is to be 5 star. The service was absolutely impeccable. They go above and beyond to make sure you have anything you could want or need. The food at all the restaurants is delicious. We ate at both Omnia and Elements and enjoyed both experiences very much. We are Hilton Diamond and they upgraded us to a beautiful room with ocean views that were perfect to watch the incredible sunset. The resort feels very luxurious, but not pretentious. It is nice to be out of the crowds on the pediatric walkway in Oia. But you are still a short walk or shuttle away from the main pedestrian area. And there’s also a beach (Ammoudi Bay) that you can walk to from the resort that has a great view of Oia. Don’t miss out on this incredible resort!

Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted with welcome drinks and a stunning coastal view from the lobby. The staff promptly took our bags and gave us a brief tour of the property. When we reached our room, they were still topping off our private pool due to high winds blowing out some water over the past few days. They kindly escorted us to the bar for another welcome drink, and about five minutes later, we returned to our room. There, we received thoughtful welcome gifts: his-and-hers hats, a stylish Canaves-branded beach bag, a fruit platter, and a bottle of local wine. The room was absolutely amazing, and the view was world-class! Anyone who’s been to Santorini knows it’s an absolute madhouse from 6:30–8:30 PM, with crowds flocking to see the sunset. Our room had a direct sunset view, so we never had to leave the hotel grounds during the chaotic period when the entire island converges on Oia. We visited all the Canaves Collection hotels in Santorini, and none offered a sunset view or matched the style, service, and amenities of Epitome. The food at the hotel was just okay—honestly, some of the worst I’ve had in Greece and among the most expensive I’ve ever encountered worldwide. It felt like dining in America, which is the opposite of what I seek when eating abroad. That said, the main restaurant’s view is perfect for a sunset dinner. Breakfast was included for Hilton Gold or higher status members and was quite good. It’s à la carte with plenty of options. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the small town of Oia, about five minutes away. While Oia is walkable, the hilly terrain makes the shuttle a nice perk. For exploring other parts of the island, I highly recommend renting a car. Uber charges a flat rate of €40 anywhere on the island, which can feel like a rip-off. This hotel has claimed the top spot as the best I’ve ever stayed at. I loved the design, the landscaping, and, of course, the exceptional service. The staff was attentive, and their teamwork was evident, which I always appreciate. The front desk was incredibly responsive via WhatsApp, making it easy to arrange shuttle services, preheat the pool, or handle any other requests. Overall, Santorini was our least favorite island but our favorite hotel. P.S. If I had to book another Canaves Collection hotel in Santorini after touring them all, Canaves Suites would be my second choice. For a relaxed sunset dining experience, book a dinner at Epitome’s restaurant.

Perfect room with direct access to sunset. Provides complimentary personal shuttle ride to Oia so very convenient. It is definitely THE hotel we’re going to stay if we revisit Santorini! Service is exceptional. The team responds to requests almost always within one minute. Our front desk host, Elga, was amazing assisting us.

Have rarely had such a lovely and blissful experience in a property. Not a hotel but so much more. The magical aura of Santorini is inescapable in these views, luxurious linens, private plunge pool, amazing dishes, and the ability to totally relax. There is an amazing spa although I did not partake. After 4 hard days of travel (too many planes, trains, automobiles) I arrived under the stars to Canaves Epitome. I had no idea the views and sunshine to greet me the next morning! Breathtaking is an understatement. After sleeping in (!) I took the hotel shuttle to Oia to shop, lunch, and take the obligatory photos. Spent the rest of the afternoon lounging by my private pool with a book, a nap, and that VIEW!! Such a treat. Highly recommend the Greek Yogurt and Vitamin Boost juice for breakfast. The room service menu caters to children and young adults, but the restaurant menu is four stars. Cannot say enough about the staff. Every one of the Canaves team takes pride in their service and treats guests like family. Always remembered my name and shared their personal adventures and recommendations. You can tell when people love what they do. Cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend for honeymoon, anniversary, couples, travel with friends, or solo. It was April, so did not see a lot of children.

We visited for our honeymoon and wish we could have stayed longer. First, the location is unbelievable. Oia is easily the best town in Santorini and the hotel offers an amazing shuttle to the downtown. Quick and easy, with excellent drivers. The hotel itself is beautiful, quiet and spacious. I can’t say enough about the staff and how great they were. Polite, attentive and informative. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but the free breakfast was top notch. They also have beautiful pools, a gym and a spa. 5 stars and we hope to go back one day!

This resort absolutely deserves five stars. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely at home, despite being 14 hour away plane ride away. Their warmth and attention to detail made all the difference. Little gestures, like a farewell note paired with champagne and checkins to ensure we had everything we needed. The property itself is breathtaking. Immaculately maintained and designed with a modern Mediterranean flair. Watching the sun set over the water from the pool was truly magic. We left with full hearts and a sense we have home away from home” in Greece. Thank you to the exceptional staff and the stunning accommodations for creating a stay we’ll never forget.
