Cozy Spanish restaurant with great food!! Ordered a a few Tapas for 5 of us to share. Toasted bread with homemade tomatoes, garlic mushrooms (FANTASTIC), nachos with alioli, Spanish peppers, Jamon with toasted bread, Mussels and Paella. Every dish tasted really good.

Amazing tapas place. Its been a long time since my last authentic paella 🥘 in Copenhagen. Really recommend. The service is always up for helping and explain the dishes in very cordial and professional way. I hardly rate 5 stars but this restaurant won them.

As soon as you walk into El Meson you can feel the Spanish culture like no other place in Copenhagen. From the music, to the wall paintings, to the staff, it just doesn't get more authentic than this. We got the “3-Courses Menu” and it did not disappoint. You get to taste a lot of different food including… A huge plate of tapas to start, a beautifully plated main-course, and of course, the delicious cheese flan, with caramel on top. The waiters were super friendly and fun to talk to, but also very professional. They recommended an amazing wine that complimented the food well, and overall made our stay here even better. This is a must visit restaurant when going to Copenhagen and it will definitely not be the last time we visit El Meson. :-)

Outstanding service and food! Tapas were excellent, served hot and cooked and seasoned to perfection. Friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere and clean facilities. Everyone speaks good English, too. Wine and Cava were absolutely lovely, I recommend the house Cava as aperitif & wine recommendations from staff. The 5-course-menu was superb, reasonably priced and even though only two of our group of five ordered the menu, the chef brought soup as a courtesy starter for everyone. And the soup was also fantastic, so happy days. We'll be back when we visit Copenhagen again.

El Méson is hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Copenhagen. From the very first bite, we were hooked—the paella was packed with flavour, the croquetes were addictive, and the gambas were cooked to perfection. We loved it so much that we couldn’t resist coming back. What truly set the experience apart was the incredible service by Natália. She was not only friendly and professional, but her warmth and enthusiasm genuinely made us feel at home. Her energy added something special to the meal—we left with full stomachs and big smiles. If you’re in Copenhagen, don’t think twice. This place is a must. We’re already dreaming of our next visit!

11/10 – if we could give more, we would! El Méson in Copenhagen completely stole our hearts. The paella was rich and full of flavour, the croquetes were perfectly crispy and creamy inside, and the gambas… absolutely unforgettable. We were so impressed that we came back right away – and honestly, we’re already ready to go again. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the cherry on top was Natália’s service. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel genuinely cared for. Her energy truly made our experience extra special. 100% worth it – this place is a gem!

I have been several times to El Meson since I moved to Copenhagen from Spain. As soon as I stepped in this restaurant I felt at home. This restaurant has real Spanish tapas while also using local ingredients for their delicious main courses. I could not recommend this place more. Excellent service by young, lively and smiling staff. The ambiance is fresh in the summer and cosy in the winter. Everything you could ask for.
