Fantastic experience! The most delicious food largely prepared with ingredients from the restaurant’s big allotment-style garden. Very relaxed atmosphere and great service too. I recommend going at the weekend for “Chef’s choice” where the chef chooses the dishes based on ingredients he/she has available.

This cute little Urban Farm in Refshaløen serves really good food 💯 Their menu is pescetarian 🌱🐟 and that’s perfect for us who want to reduce our meat consumption. Their veggies are on point 👌, possibly because they just pluck them out from their own yard 👀 We got fermented cucumber with smoked cheese as snack, hake (?) ceviche as starter, grilled leek (this dish get 💯 from me) and the star of the show: bean salad and grilled white fish. So good! And such a steal for 300kr for lunch (you also get bread and parsley butter as well) . Love it! ❤️

This place is completely magic and created with love and care by both founders, gardeners and volunteers. I’ve been both eating their food (which is always delicious). And been pulling their weeds through volunteering. I can’t recommend it more to other people honestly. And if you feel like helping out as well - sign up for volunteer-day on Tuesday’s it’s a sweet community of likeminded people. Get your hands in the soil and harvest delicious organic veggies. It’s build on a permaculture foundation so there’s plenty of flowers for bees, weeds for chickens, mushroom manoeuvre for the new veggies and it’s all done a very circular way - minding the environment. All people working there are amazing people so please visit wether it’s in the restaurant for food or for working in the field as a volunteer.

Delightful little spot just a stone's throw from Copenhagen proper. Highly recommend the Sunday longtable meal- love the concept of dining hyper-local with a focus on sustainability. Don't be shy. Dig in and enjoy a communal meal with some new local friends.

I was wondering around centre Copenhagen when bumping into this little gem. It is basically a farm/garden restaurant that uses their own garden fresh vegetables and fresh local fish to serve up dishes. I went on a Sunday when they happen to serve a fixed 5-course menu. I was absolutely delighted with the food, the presentation, and the environment! The wait staff was amazing and spoke fluent English. She was a total sweet heart who didn’t hesitate to share her smiles and chit chats and a proper introduction to each course in front of me. I was there last October. I noticed the place is temporarily closed, I hope it’s just a seasonal thing.

What a lovely place! Such friendly people. We visited during the opening party. Nice music from cool people (from multiple countries & volunteering musicians), great atmosphere. Food must be delicious as well, would love to come back. We only had the oysters & homemade lemonade which was the best.

It was an absolute highlight from my trip to Copenhagen. I love the setup, aesthetics, and ethos of this place. Farm to table organic food. When we went, there was a set menu with an option to add on the desert. My eating partner was vegan and there were delicious replacements for her to swap mackerel and dairy. Everything was delicious and fresh. I absolutely loved the beetroot gazpacho with pickled gooseberries. And split pea houmous. Attentive and cheerful service by a lovely woman from UK, didn't catch her name. Highly recommended! Take time to wander around the gardens and say hello to the chickens. I also had a sit down on a different night just to have a glass of wine and read a book. A perfect location for it 🌻

Our host in Copenhagen recommended Øens Have and said it was one of those local gems that most visitors never hear about; so we added it to our list and I’m so glad we did. It’s located in Refshaleøen and we arrived by ferry which already made it feel like a little adventure rather than just going out for lunch. Øens Have is part of a large regenerative organic garden and was created with the intention of reconnecting people with nature; everything about the place feels thoughtful, seasonal and grounded in what’s growing right outside the kitchen. When we walked in we were instantly blown away; bees and butterflies everywhere, rows of vegetables, flowers and herbs and a calm earthy atmosphere that makes you want to slow down and breathe. The staff were so warm and welcoming. On the day we visited they were offering a three-course menu for 350 DKK or a single main for 185 DKK. We chose the full menu and added fresh oysters which were available that day. The food leans heavily toward a plant-based approach and highlights vegetables beautifully; however they do occasionally offer other proteins depending on the season, which keeps things interesting. There was also a small curated drinks list with organic wine, kombucha and beer which suited the style of the place perfectly. Every dish was so flavourful and beautifully presented; the standout for me was the grilled Funga farm mushrooms which were rich, smokey and absolutely delicious. The entire experience felt thoughtful but unfussy. The setting is stunning; rustic, relaxed and surrounded by the gardens. I heard they also host long-table lunches and seasonal events which makes total sense because the space feels perfect for gathering and connecting. After lunch we took our time wandering through the garden and I honestly caught myself wishing I had a garden like this at home. At the moment Øens Have is closed for the season and will reopen in spring 2026; however they remain open year round for events which I think would make the most beautiful experience if you happen to be in Copenhagen at the right time. If you love food, nature, sustainability or discovering places slightly off the main tourist track, I highly recommend coming here. Øens Have is such a special and memorable place; it’s one of those experiences that stays with you.
