Experimentarium is a must-visit for families, kids, and anyone curious about science and creativity! Located in Hellerup, just outside central Copenhagen, this hands-on science museum is bursting with interactive exhibits and activities that make learning incredibly fun. The exhibits are highly engaging, encouraging visitors to touch, play, and experiment. From giant soap bubble-making stations to interactive physics and chemistry demonstrations, there’s something for everyone. Highlights include the Energy Zone, where you can explore renewable energy concepts, and the Water Exhibit, a splash-filled area perfect for kids. What makes Experimentarium stand out is its creative approach to science. The museum blends fun with education seamlessly, ensuring both kids and adults are equally entertained. It’s also very well-organized, with staff members on hand to explain experiments or answer questions. Additionally, the modern architecture and spacious design make the visit comfortable, and the rooftop café provides stunning views of Copenhagen—a great spot to relax after a day of exploration. Pro Tip: Allocate at least 3–4 hours to enjoy all the activities, and don’t forget to wear comfortable clothing, as you’ll be moving a lot! Overall, Experimentarium is a place where curiosity comes alive, making it perfect for a fun-filled and inspiring day out. Highly recommended!

We were hesitant if our 2 and 3 year old children would have fun there. After all, decided to give it a try and no doubt it was the right thing to do. There is a section for kids up to 5Y which itself can keep your child busy for at least 2 hours or so. Our kids were hungry to explore the water world on floor 1 too. We did not visit the rest only because we did not want to skip a nap. Otherwise, we could have spend much more time in Experimentarium. What a great place to take your children to!

Amazing venue for both kids and adults. We spent there 5 hours and could stay even longer! A lot of visual, kinesthetic and educational attractions which are also super fun. Negatives: The food in the cafeteria is not the best and quite pricey, I’d recommend to bring lunch with you.

Awesome! Excellent! Fun! Learning! Family! Really... I could go on :-) This place is unique and full (i mean FULL) of experiences that are so cool! The whole family will get something positive from this trip! Price is absolutely fair! This is a MUST if you're in Copenhagen! RECOMMENDED

We have spent all day here. Much fun for kids (6 and 8) and adults too. We enjoyed most the team play games in the first floor. Also for kids for lunch buy the lunch box in the buffe, the kids will be happy and with full stomach.

Excellent science museum. My kids age 8 and 10 were entertained all day. Most exhibits in working order. The burger in the cafe was good. We used the Copenhagen card for entry. The bus stops right in front of the building.

The best museum in the world for kids (and big kids, aka mum and dad)! We were there for over five hours without complaints until we had to leave. Very hands on and really informative (with Danish and English) and covering a wide age range. For visitors who have a Copenhagen Card, entrance is included in the card and the museum can be reached easily by public transport. The cafe/restaurant in the museum has a small menu but the food was very tasty.

Great place for both children and adults. Included in Copenhagen Pass so definitely recommend tourists with the pass to come. They have different section across science topics such as biological science, logistics, physical sciences. Providing a lot of interactive facilities and activities, it helps young adults and children to understand the theory behind each situation and phenomenon while they can enjoy in those activities. The curved staircase in the middle of the building is also a great place for taking pictures.

Fantastic museum. We have been to many science museums over the years in various countries this one is up there at the top. Lots of innovative displays demonstrating different principles in a fun interactive ways so make sure you give yourself enough time. The exhibits have a good range covering younger and older children and adults ! Staff are very freindly and helpful thanks for a great visit.

Great expirience for kids and adults, but in my opinion there are more activities for smaller kids. But you can also participate in games as a team with all your family members. If you are planning to visit museum in the weekend come here in the morning, and after 12 the amount of people increased rapidly
