This is by far the best hotel on the island. We normally stay in five star hotels but we come to Sifnos annually for two weeks in August and always stay here. Everything is wonderful!

Wonderful garden, fantastic access to the ocean. Amazing views from all over the property. Great food for lunch. Nice breakfast with amazing views. Friendly staff and owner. Table tennis, foosball available. Great saltwater pool with view over the bay. Free kayaks to use with direct access to the ocean. Nicest garden in sifnos with a lot of palm trees. Beautiful hotel, highly recommended.

When my daughter and I first arrived to Sifnos, we had missed the taxi because we missed the first ferry. The ferries are very much on schedule all the time. The hotel provided a driver and picked us up and dropped us off at the hotel. The room was wonderful, clean, very comfortable, and the overview of the bay was phenomenal. The breakfast is handmade by Fabiola and it is so good. She’s an amazing cook! When we needed something, anything out of the ordinary they strive to provide it for us. I don’t think we were ever turned down. The island itself is amazing. There are so many wonderful restaurants on the island , unfortunately you have to go to different towns to experience them, but it is well worth it. I will be going back and hopefully I can stay here again.

We loved everything about our stay at Platys Gialos hotel. From the moment we arrived, Dimitri was the perfect host - he welcomed us to his hotel and gave us the best tips about the island he loves. This hotel has been in his family since the 70's and he shared lovely stories about it. The hotel itself is perfectly located just by the beach and with a direct entrance to the sea. Our room had a beautiful view and the hotel had lots of nice and quiet spaces to relax and enjoy our holidays. It's also well located if you want to hike, just at the start of trail 4 of Sifnos trails (11kms, circular route). We will definitely come back.

The perfect stay in Sifnos—authentic Greek charm meets boutique hotel comfort. We traveled all over the island, and there’s no doubt: Hotel Platis Gialos is where I’d tell every friend to stay. It’s run by two wonderful brothers whose family has owned it for three generations—offering that warm, Greek hospitality without giving up privacy or comfort. It still feels like a true hotel experience, just with heart. The rooms were filled with thoughtful details that really stood out—like a dedicated area to do your hair and makeup (such a bonus), great pillows, plush extra blankets, and even high-quality shampoo and conditioner (not a given in Europe). They even included a separate towel for makeup. Everything was truly geared toward comfort. The location is unbeatable—on the beach but with a view of the whole bay, with their own private dock where you can swim right off the rocks (which we loved). They also have a pool—rare for this part of the island—and daybeds for lounging. Platis Gialos is a dreamy part of Sifnos: beautiful, walkable, and full of great food and local charm. The food at the hotel was phenomenal. The new chef has really elevated the menu—fresh Greek yogurt, fruit, savory dishes, and even fresh-caught fish (we watched them bring in an octopus that was later served at dinner!). Everything felt healthy, abundant, local & very Greek! We felt so safe and cared for throughout our stay as two American women in our 30s. It was the perfect blend of feeling welcomed like family but with all the amenities of a boutique hotel. If you’re coming to Sifnos, this is the place.

Super friendly staff and a warm, cheerful host. The rooms were clean, and the location was fantastic—right on the beach with a private area, sun loungers, and umbrellas. Great amenities for activities on land (like table tennis, darts, and a gym) and water (such as paddle boat and SUP board). The breakfast was excellent with plenty of options, and the meals for lunch and dinner were delicious.

We had a ground floor room which led right to the beach, it was absolutely stunning. The room was great and the modern bathroom was stocked with very nice toiletries. The staff were all incredibly friendly. It has a very chilled vibe and there is lots of free activities you can just use i.e. darts, kayaking, paddle boarding, table tennis. The breakfast has everything you need, we are lazy so usually arrived within the last 30 mins and there was still plenty. Would recommend to anyone.

Quaint family run business. All rooms face the water. Don't expect a giant buffet selection for breakfast. Rooms are clean with a balcony. Very quiet and relaxing staff is polite and informative. Will definitely come back.
