Great place in a great location run by caring, effective, efficient and wonderful people. Rooms are nothing to write home about but, who cares...see description above of the people. Activities galore and fun. Community dinner is a must. Want to really experience Copenhagen stay here.

We didn't stay at the hotel but came to their restaurant for the social dining experience and absolutely loved it. One of my highlights from my trip in Copenhagen. The staff was extremely friendly and I felt as though we were family in their dining room. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed getting to share family style. When I return, I hope to stay at their accommodations! the place looks very cozy.

We came for the social dining. Lovely welcoming dining room where you sit on a table of 12 and share the set dishes prepared that day. The food was delicious, there was a full bar menu and the service was excellent. It’s 7pm every night and they cater for vegetarians and allergies. A great Danish experience.

Didn’t stay here at the hotel, but had an excellent experience at their communal dinner, which I believe they host every night. The location is fantastic, but more important the menu and the service were outstanding. If you’re visiting Copenhagen, I highly recommend you look at their website and reserve dinner at one of the nights you’re in town for this experience.

Such a nice place! I enjoyed the hotel convenience while living like a local in a Danish design room. Location is also super convenient, you can either walk to some main attractions or access to public transport easily.

You can book social dinner at hotel, where a group of people share big plates of food. When I saw the menu I was a bit disappointed (the main dish is fried potato pancakes) but it turned out to be very delicious and filling. The portion is big! We waited quite long for the food but since it has a social purpose I guess it makes sense.

I stayed in two places in Copenhagen. One was here, the other was hotel sanders which cost 3x as much. I preferred here by a large margin. I stayed in the apartments. It’s a better location, much more local character, the dinner was excellent, morning coffee great as well. If you appreciate culture stay here

Kanalhuset is a charming and beautifully designed spot with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are stylish and cozy, the staff are incredibly friendly, and the communal dining experience feels unique and memorable. Its canal-side location adds extra magic - an absolute gem in Copenhagen!

I spent two nights at the end of January 2026 with my daughter in a suite in this very pleasant hotel/restaurant in Christianshavn on one of the canals of southern central Copenhagen. It was beautifully furnished with traditional Danish 1950-1960 pieces and featured all the equipment needed to spend longer times here, like washing machine, dryer, cooking stove, large fridge with freezer and lots of room for your clothes. Beds were excellent and the hygiene section up to the overall standards. My only critique is that a long shoe horn, so useful for older folks is missing. You check in and out in the bar which has computer interdiction to the benefit of all the visitors that you will meet the hour before the common dinner is served where you share tables and menu with the other guests. Breakfast is à la carte and relatively expensive, at least compared to the rest of the western European continent. Parking is on the street, best using one of the common parking apps. Like the breakfast, we found it expensive even compared to other capitals like Berlin. Overall, an excellent experience!

When I in the Copenhagen, I stayed here for three days. This decision is the best possible, and food - great! So many choice. The localization is good, and there's beautiful canal from windows. I am really excited after staying here. Best opinion, 5*
