Came along with the discover card. Good experience overall, all staff were friendly. Has both English and Danish language to read from. Nice general knowledge provided as well. The Body collection was particularly interesting however does look a little scary to the non medical.

Very enlightening. A short talk gave us the history of the building and the use of the collection. There are numerous specimens to view and the exhibits provide a basic knowledge in several areas of disease.

If you like to learn and see preserved medical history this is the place for you.. there are a lot fetuses, babies, body parts and a whole lot more that’s simply fascinating, but not for the faint of heart. The auditorium is the place to listen to the guide give you a 15 minute chat about the history of building and more. (It was at 2pm on Friday in English) Make sure to sit in on this.. then adventure awaits you!

Easily one of the most unforgettable museums I’ve ever visited. Loved the exhibit about the gut as well as the preserved bodies giving a glimpse into life. Our 12 year old was a bit traumatized by the deformed babies in jars so be advised if you have young ones. It’s very interesting though and makes you so thankful that, most of the time, our bodies are formed well and we are born healthy. Fascinating museum.

It was a cute museum. They had parking for my rental bike. I needed to put my backpack in a locker, but was allowed to take my cellphone in. The specimens in formaldehyde were interesting. But nothing was really super wow. Nonetheless, as a medical geek, it was an obligatory stop for me on my tour through Copenhagen.

During our visit to Copenhagen, we found this place. We took our 7,6 and 2 year old children. It was a very interesting and educational museum. Luckily our children were fine with what they were seeing, inside the organs, human body etc. We had to leave our pram by the front door and had to walk around the museum which was totally fine. Children had treasure hunting in the museum and they got sweets in the end.

Would ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND for any medic & anyone interested in medical industry. Went a few minutes before their closing time. The staff is very kind and engaging. The experience is very immersive. There's so much history and deep dive into the human anatomy. The displays really draw you in. Set aside an hour plus to go through the museum for a wholesome experience.

Loved the museum as someone who takes an interest in biology and the human body. Some parts were interactive and immersive, while others thought provoking and ngl made my stomach squirm a little. Well worth the money, we spent 2 hours there and it was not enough!

Not for the faint hearted :) The central part of this museum is an exhibition of body part specimens collected throughout the years. This is accompanied by some other themed rooms, ranging from the history of pharmaceuticals to covid pandemic. Definitely worth a visit - makes you realize what a miracle human life really is!

We ended up spending two full hours here—and only left because the museum was closing. The exhibition was incredibly educational and thought-provoking. It really makes you think—how were people supposed to understand something like the brain? You only saw its anatomy after someone died, and even then, all you had was a rough map. The functions remained a mystery. How could anyone diagnose or treat psychiatric conditions without understanding neurology or chemistry? How did they even begin to guess what caused illness—was it the body, the mind, or something spiritual? No scans, no lab tests, no real understanding of infection or the immune system. It's honestly mind-blowing how far they got with so little. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Copenhagen. Don't miss the auditorium
