Worth the time and €’s. €7 with audio guide, €5 without. Takes about an hour with the guide or self-pace without. Built on 3 levels, it is Handicap accessible with entry ramp and wheelchair lifts on the stairways. The museum presents a good history of all the mining taking place on Milos through the ages.

Milos is mainly mines. You have to visit the place to understand why and what they are excavating. Fascinating geological history behind obsidian roads and volcanic ashes.

Amazing museum, two floors full of exhibits and a room where a nice documentary is played. The museum helps to understand the mining activities, geology, and the economy of the island, which provides context for visits and exploration of the beaches. Recommended!

Fascinating when paired with audio guide and the films shown at lower level. Really helped me understand what I’ve been seeing as I’ve driven around the island the past few days. Visited in April so not crowded and the person at entry was friendly and helpful. For accessibility, there is a lift at stairs (see photo) to get to upper and lower levels but restrooms have narrow entry doors. Highly recommend this museum.

Fascinating history of the island and the black stone mined from its surface for thousands of years. Great activity to take a break from the sun or make the most of a bad weather day… (rare on this island haha)

Interesting 3-level, though not very large, exhibition about everything related to mining on the island. Their mineral collection is remarkable. It's a great idea that they are open until 10pm, so it's a great program before or after dinner.
