One of the must in Skiathos!! Platanias is another excellent choice located near Troulos Beach. This taverna is set in a natural environment offering an authentic and relaxing culinary experience. The menu is rich with traditional Greek dishes and vegetarian options. On Thursday live music from 20.00. My choices : - Gemista (stuffed vegetables) - Kleftiko (slow-cooked lamb) - Eggplant salad

There was a lot of creativity in the dishes we had, and it worked very well. Not an ordinary restaurant. The toilets are baby friendly. I highly recommend having a meal here on the way back from the beaches. Prices are very reasonable.

I barely could rate with 3 stars other tavernas in Skiathos, but Platanias was a great experience! Tasty & good looking food, good service, very clean bathrooms, nice terrace, good weiss beer. Is the only place where we returned to eat in Skiathos. The mousaka with bechamel was a big surprise, it tasted very good and wasn't "heavy", as mousaka usually is. The light green thing from one of the photos is calamary risotto with mint and pesto, very interesting flavours. The portions are pretty big, with a fair price comparing to other places where the quality is lower. Keep up the good work, Platanias!

It’s in the top 3 meals I’ve ever had! Tucked away off the main road we wandered in early afternoon with barely anyone around. Waiter was very friendly/welcoming and the service was prompt. But the food was absolutely out of this world!!!

Went about 6.30pm. Plenty of seats. Had the beef Stifado. Meat practically falling apart. Not too many onions. Great staff and service.

Good people, all the love for Dimitri and his brother who have done more that their jobs! Great people, excellent food, just try this excellent stuffed eggplant, but all is good. Had two meals here, everything perfect!

Good food, good service and greek atmosphere! We ate the Salmon Salad, Greek Salad and the Pandesia Salad. They were good. The Pandesia is more on the sweet side and the Salmon one was on the classic salad type. The salmon pieces were a bit to big, but in rest it was very good

Absolute amazing restaurant!! Fantastic food , great atmosphere and very friendly staff! Dimitrius and his father are fantastic hosts, Best place to eat on Skiathos island! He’s a great guy and a keen fisherman and always great to sit down and chat with, we’ve been many times and will be back next year Neil webbo and Cayla.
