Since 2022, Skiathos has turned a new page in the transportation sector, acquiring modern buses and high-standard services befitting an island of top-tier quality and tourism, such as the 'noble lady' of the Northern Sporades.
The areas covered by the company are: Airport, Port, Koukounaries, Xanemos, Aselinos, Eikonistria, Evangelistria, Troulos, Kalyvia, and Agia Paraskevi. Four i-box kiosks operated by the Consortium (PORT – KOUKOUNARIES – ACROPOLIS – AIRPORT) serve the traveling public with tickets and information, alongside 'on-the-go' ticket collectors. Skiathos Transports, as committed from the very first moment they undertook the transport project, proceeded with investments to upgrade transportation for the benefit of permanent residents and visitors to the island. The island has now entered a new era of reliability, quality, sustainable mobility, and safety with the operation of the new telematics system on the Skiathos Transports buses. Skiathos is leading the way by Greek island standards, featuring an advanced and state-of-the-art online system for the public. The new telematics system allows for real-time monitoring of routes, voice announcements of stops, route optimization, and updates for the traveling public via mobile phone—by scanning QR codes at stops—and through the website.
