I knew Café Smaragdi from my previous stays in Sifnos as I was used to buy coffee thee in the morning before hitting Sifnos trails. I always appreciated the friendliness of their staff, especially Antonis and Yorgo, who always made me feel welcomed. So, this year, I decided to stay at Hotel Smaragdi and I’m very happy with my choice. Rooms are very nice and clean with good beds and quality toiletries. As always staff is very friendly and always available if you need help. Breakfast is super nice as next to a croissant, orange juice and warm drink, you can pick up one meal of your choice from the breakfast menu. Personally, I loved the acai bowl! Hotel is located in Artemonas just next to the main bus station of Sifnos, which makes it very convenient to move around the island. I loved my stay at Smaragdi Hotel and highly recommend it to anyone!

Excellent location. 50 meters from the bus station that takes you everywhere to the Island. The rooms were nice and clean. Friendly staff. The breakfast is delicious!

A true haven in one of the most beautiful villages on Sifnos. We had the most wonderful experience at Smaragdi Hotel in Artemonas – a hidden gem in the heart of the village. The hotel is perfectly located on the main square, surrounded by charming alleyways, fragrant gardens and cozy tavernas. The owner, Antonis, is absolutely exceptional – warm, calm and genuinely kind. From the moment you arrive, you feel welcome and cared for. He is always present, helpful and truly interested in making your stay enjoyable. The rooms are newly renovated, stylish and comfortable, while still honoring the traditional architecture of Sifnos. Every detail is thoughtfully chosen – from the rain shower and comfy bed to the practical touches like a minibar, kettle and efficient air conditioning. Many rooms have balconies with beautiful views over Artemonas and the surrounding hills. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, both at the hotel and in the village itself. It’s the perfect base to return to after a day of hiking or swimming. Breakfast is served at the hotel’s café and is truly delicious – simple but well-prepared, with fresh bread, eggs, fruit, Greek yogurt and good coffee. The service is just as attentive and friendly as the rest of the experience. All in all, Smaragdi Hotel in Artemonas is a perfect choice for anyone looking for beauty, tranquility and genuine hospitality. We will definitely be back.

Steps away from local bus stop. A 12 minute mountain side walk to main island center or a quick 6 min bus ride (some buses on this island don't accept credit card) The owner himself was kind enough to make us breakfast on our last day there, slightly before opening their restaurant since we had an early ferry. Service you can only experience on the beautiful Sifnos Island. Thanks for everything!! Have fun in Mexico

Adonis is a great host! Loved his tips about the island! Very nice person! Also the hotel serves a great selection of breakfast included, we were always feeling full the whole day! Their price range rooms are clean with a neat, simple design. The location is really good, you can enjoy different parts of the island quite easily. There is a free parking spot next to the hotel

We had the most amazing stay here for our honeymoon, the team were super friendly and welcoming, just genuinely nice guys. The room was comfortable in a beautiful location and probably one of the best breakfasts we have had!

My wife and I came to Sifnos for 2 nights before heading to Milos. Artemonas is pretty chill which suited us, and there are some great places to eat if you're into food. If you want a change of scenery, take a 15 min walk through some side streets and you're in Appolonia. I honestly can't fault Smaragdi at all. The service is amazing, the location is great, the rooms are clean and nice, the breakfast is fantastic and the price was incredibly competitive. If you're thinking about it, and they have availability, stop thinking and just book!

Was does the weary, lone middle-aged traveller look for? Safety, a good sleep, good food and if the hospitality includes a warm welcome and smile, you feel like a lost friend who is welcomed back. All of that you can find at this little gem "Smaragdi", emerald in Greek. Additionally as a traveller you find peace, courtesy and dignity. I like it so much that I will definitely come back with my family to share the experience with them!

We stayed at this hotel in May 2026. Great hotel run by Antonis and his offsiders. Clean comfortable room with a great breakfast. Handy to restaurants and public transport. Would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the artemonas area of Sifnos.

The rooms were perfect! Concrete everything with fantastic lighting, great bathroom and shower, and a nice, private patio. The service was also great; room service everyday, really delicious complimentary breakfast, and very friendly staff. Location is also great. For people who want a small town feel, Smaragdi is perfect. The hotel is in the center of Artemonas, a small village that makes you feel like a regular after only a couple days. Right next to a few sweet shops and restaurants, across the street from a church, and includes public parking (speaking of which, definitely rent a car for sifnos). Wonderful stay would really highly recommend for couples, or really anyone who wants to understand the feel of a small island village in Greece!
